At Thames Valley Fertility we treat both private (self-funded) and NHS patients, giving everyone the same expert care and attention.
Generally, most patients will have already spoken to their GPs regarding their fertility concerns. Your GP is able to send us a referral to undertake any fertility investigations for you and, if necessary, start you on your fertility journey. You can simply request your GP to refer you on to us and they can then send us any supporting test results that you may have already had.
Alternatively, you may have already been seen by a fertility specialist in a clinic or hospital. Some of the local specialist clinics are led by our consultants and so they will easily be able to refer you through to us. As with GPs, as the patient you are able to request that your doctor makes a referral on your behalf to us.
As of 1st December 2017, Thames Valley Fertility will be able to offer complete NHS funded cycles.
If you have been advised that you meet the criteria for NHS funded treatment in your area, your GP will need to refer you to a secondary care clinic for the relevant tests and forms to be completed. You will then be able to make a decision as to where you would like to have your treatment. If we have a contract with your GP’s CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) then Thames Valley Fertility will be listed on the funding form as a provider.
The referral for treatment must come from your NHS Consultant.
Alternatively, if you wish to privately fund your treatment you can self-refer to us by completing our Self-Referral Request (below).
If you have any test results already, please bring these along to your first consultation.
