Where is the satellite?

Our Chiltern Specialist Referral Clinic is led by Mr Julian Norman-Taylor and is consultations are held at both the BMI Chilterns hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London.

Who can use the satellite?

The Chiltern Specialist Referral Clinic service is available to all patients, seeking fertility advice, medical consultations and initial fertility investigations in the preparation of undergoing fresh IVF or frozen embryo replacement cycles.

Which appointments can I have at the satellite?

The following appointments can take place at the satellite:

  • Initial consultation
  • Blood tests
  • Female fertility investigations
  • Follow-up appointment

After initial investigations have been completed patients needing assisted reproductive treatment (e.g. fresh IVF cycle or intra-uterine insemination) will have to attend our Thames Valley clinic for the treatment cycle preparation and all laboratory procedures are undertaken on site in our state of the art facilities.

How will using the satellite affect my treatment?

The aim of the specialist Referral Clinic is to make treatment more convenient for you. Our Chiltern Specialist Referral Clinic is led by one of our consultants and the team there work closely with us to  ensure you receive the same high levels of care that you would in our main clinic. Appointments are conducted as they would be in Thames Valley and all scan and blood test results are put on our database so the decisions made about your treatment, and your chances of success, are the same whether you choose to have your initial investigation appointments in The Chiltern or Thames Valley Clinic.
